If there’s anything talent shows have taught us over the last 10 years, it’s that the unexpected reigns supreme. Every. Damn. Time. From the salacious to the spooky, it’s the one thinking outside the box that gets the crown.
Knowing more than a lot about putting in shows is Felix Le Freak. Coming to Patterns with the biggest, boldest and queerest event you’ve ever witnessed, Le Freakshow returns with The Bunny Ball this Easter Sunday.
Now, I’ve always liked the idea of judging a contest. Like, sauntering in, taking a pew and watching as the talent strut their stuff. So, lucky me – the day is upon us. Forming one part of the judging panel, look out for me, sipping on G&Ts while pretending I know how to critique. YES.
Ten amazing, queer artists hop on the stage but just one lucky winner will bounce to victory – and the amazing top prize of £500! Expect fun, games and dancing until the early hours of Monday morning, the most exciting way to spend the best weekend of the year.
Brighton’s best queer DJs will be present and correct, so you can shake your cottontails to the best tunes. There’s even an audience costume competition for ‘best bunny’ for those of you wanting to get involved. Forget panther on the runway, it’s time for the bunnies to come out and play.
The Bunny Ball comes to Patterns, Brighton on Sun 21 April
