FemRock Fest is back with its second annual event, featuring female-fronted bands, vegan food stalls and a feminist marketplace coming to the Green Door Store on Sat 30 June, from 2-10:30pm. And this year, Stemme Magazine is going to be there with magazines and merch – come and say hey and pick up a copy of issue 4!
This year’s event sees 10 female-fronted bands, 2 vegan food stalls, a feminist marketplace full of creatives and activists and outdoor DJ sets throughout the day. It’s a massive event for all involved and an awesome way to spend your Saturday – just make sure you get tickets before they’re all gone.
At its core, FemRock is a DIY not-for-profit in Brighton. They’ve been putting girls to the front and promoting women in music for the last five years. Tackling the lack of gender diverse line-ups at mainstream festivals, FemRock Fest is changing things from the ground, up.
